The new ArchiMAG issue is out!

To celebrate the ArchiCAD 15’s recent release, the new ArchiCAD is one of the main themes in ArchiMAG 2/2011. A long-term ArchiCAD user Severi Virolainen has wrote a review of new ArchiCAD and to honour one of the ArchiCAD 15’s main themes “renovation”, the new issue also features an article about Lapinlahti Hospital restoration project in Helsinki, Finland.

The magazine has other interesting articles too: a GDL tutorial by Jeroen de Bruin and interview of Onur Senturk, just to name a few.

Good web site! I really love how it is simple on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I could be notified when a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day!

I’m excited to see how the updregas to working in 3D will help new users learn ArchiCAD faster and also help that segment of current users not capitalizing on the model to feel more comfortable in 3D.

Has any highrise RC buiindg designed by Tekla Structures ?I only see highrise steel structures or Precast modeled and detailed by TS.It seems TS is still limited for high rise RC building ?

Thank you for your comment. The Bella Hotel by Ramboll is a lolvey example of working with reinforced concrete. Situated close to Copenhagen airport, low-altitude air traffic resulted in a vertical restriction of some 77 meters above sea level. This ruled out building a skyscraper this time, however I’m sure it won’t be long until there is!To see our reference cases visit tekla.com and under the quick links panel you will find a link called Tekla references.

Hi EricIt’s interesting to hear your fresh pesipectrve implementing ArchiCAD. My only comment regarding this issue is that you can use the Reload Project’ command for this and it’s not absolutely necessary to have everyone send & receive. This way it can be fixed with no disruption to anyone else. Proves how important it is to have users send & receive as often as possible. As for releasing, I suggest a reserve-edit-release workflow with keyboard shortcuts assigned accordingly. Also in the work environment you can make ArchiCAD release all with a send and save, when users close projects. Good luckCheers,Link.
